Twisted Fate Series
Twisted Fate started as a stand-alone novel called Second Chances, which I only began because I wanted to get my head out of editing Forsaken for a little while (I haven't gone back yet). It then morphed into a trilogy called Heaven's Touch, which I changed to A Touch of Heaven. Needless to say, that changed. Upon writing the synopsis for each book in the series (now six novels), I once again changed it to Twisted Fate. I love this, and do not foresee it changing, as each novel has a touch of Fate - it simply fits! Like the moment you nail a character's name, you know when it is the right one.
Series Overview:
Alyssa Frank dies trying to save herself from a brutal attack from rival students at Elixir High School. Upon dying, she discovers an in between place ruled by a disembodied voice set on judging her, though instead of descending into Hell as she thinks is her fate, she is sent back to life to try and change the circumstances of her last week. Of course, she has every obstacle imagineable to overcome! You simply can''t cheat death (though maybe you can trick it). When you literally have the Sisters of Fate pulling your life strings, anything is possible. Every right choice comes with a sea of wrong to counter, and even when you find the right one, it might not feel like it is what should happen.
All of the death and loss that Alyssa overcomes in the first book gears towards her true purpose: a leader - the first Pure Soul. What makes her special? Well, aside from being the first Pure Soul, she is born to a heritage that will make her a powerful aly upon her eighteenth birthday. She just has to make it there first. Enter Gabe, Mike, Raffy, and the return of her best friend, Suzie Whithall. Nobody is who they say they are, but until she reaches her eighteenth birthday, she doesn't remember any of what she's already experienced. The only thing she can hang on to is the memory of David, her one true love.
Dishonesty, betrayal, earth-shattering revelations, and love. This series touches on it all, as well as new worlds in Heaven and Hell, and an absentee God. Can Alyssa survive it? Will she be the leader everyone says she is destined to be? And how much of the world - the ideals that have kept the world in existence since Creation - will have to change for her to become their savior and defeat the Darkness?
Will she have to sacrifice her love along the way?
